turtle booksHello, we're turtle books.
We're a small team in Valencia, Spain, and we love signed books. We find signed copies, check them, photograph them with our turtle and send them to their new homes.
Most of our books go up on eBay as auctions, so everybody gets a fair chance at them. The others are Buy It Now: you'll find them in our shop.
Why the turtle?
Our turtle sits in every photo we take. It means the picture is ours, not borrowed from somewhere else, and the book in the photo is the very copy you get. (The turtle stays here, though.)
How we pack
1 Acid-free paper and gloves
Every book is wrapped in acid-free paper, and we put in a pair of archival gloves so you can handle it the way we do.
2 Packed like a tank
Then layers of bubble wrap. Buyers tell us it takes a while to unwrap, and that is the point.
3 Brand-new boxes
Always new, sturdy mailers. Never a reused box.
4 A personal note, and a little extra
Every parcel has a thank-you note, and a small bonus too.
Every book is certified
Each signed book comes with a certificate from Veritado, an authentication service. The certificate number is printed on the paper certificate; type it in at veritado.com to see the full record with its photos.
What buyers say
Long live the turtle! Turtle Books is one of my favorite sellers on eBay and the best packer of books ever! It took me nearly 15 minutes to unwrap the book I bought from this seller. You can tell how much a seller likes books by how they package them for shipping.
I couldn't be happier with this transaction. I thought I'd be waiting a month or so for the book; it was express-shipped, and I received it within three days. It was so safely packaged that it took several tries to remove all the bubble wrap. The book itself was graded and described perfectly …
Fantastic seller! Book arrived in time, well-packaged, and in great shape. Seller is a great communicator, and even included a free paperback from the same author as a gift. An uncommonly fine bookseller. Thank you!!
I cannot recommend this seller enough. Went above and beyond to deliver the book in an expeditious manner. Absolutely fantastic packaging, with the care and respect that you wish all sellers could adhere to when doing business with another. Book was better than described. A+ transaction.
great customer service. fastest shipping I've every received over the greatest distance covered. thanks for the bonus!
